Hunting season

  • West Caucasus Tur (Kuban Tur) / Caucasus: August – end of November
  • Mid-Caucasian Tur / Caucasus: August – end of November



The Caucasus – it’s a region at the border of Europe and Asia, situated between the Black and the Caspian seas. It is home to the Caucasus Mountains, which contain Europe’s highest mountain, Mount Elbrus (5  642 m).

Climate is moderate, with short winters and long, warm, humid summers. The average temperature in July/August is: day time +15 to +25, September 0 to +5, night time – July/August +5 to +15, September -5 to -10.


Hunting areas


Destination airport for arrival is Mineralnye Vody. On arrival, ground transportation to hunting area in Karachay-Cherkessia (~200-300km). Average altitude of hunting area is 2200-2500 m above the sea level.


During a hunt, the hunter will be accommodated in tented camps. Only on arrival and when hunt is over, hunter stays at the main hunting lodge.

Hunting conditions

Hunting in Caucasus Mountains is one of the most difficult hunts. Hunter must be not only physically fit but also mentally ready for this trip. During the day, hunter on horseback travels the mountain with his guide inspecting the areas, where mostly Ibex are staying. Once the trophy is spotted, hunter completes stalking on foot.
Usually 5-7 hunting days are necessary for hunting in Caucasus.
